There will be tons of minutes to fill for the Bruins in the backcourt after their departures from the past two seasons, and Deese is a guy who could help fill those roles. He has a good feel for making the right play, whether that’s swinging the ball on the perimeter, driving to create space, or getting a bucket for himself. He is also a decent defender who brings effort whenever he’s on the floor.
Deese might be an under-the-radar name right now, but don’t underestimate his value to this Upward Stars Tri-County
group. He did a sound job of running the offense and reading the defense when I watched him Saturday, collecting 8 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals. Although Hudson is a solid driver and passer, he can also make scrappy plays on the defensive end of the floor to help spark his team.
