The other bright spot for the Bearcats, Romero contributed double figures in an efficient complementary performance. He got the game started with a confident 3 from the wing, showcasing a smooth stroke off the catch. Romero also flashed a capable skillset as a dribble-drive threat whether pushing in transition or attacking closeouts in the halfcourt. Romero is an intriguing guard prospect for York after a solid season as a freshman. He has proven to be a reliable shooter from the perimeter in addition to being a great rebounding guard. Yoziah has shown off his great strength both as a rebounder and a driver to the basket. His ability to get downhill is the best of his skillset thus far, but Romero is only going to develop all around as he steps into a larger role this winter.

Romero is an effective downhill thumper who makes a living getting into the paint. He has an array of different finishes around the bucket. Romero has also shown the ability to use his in-between game when needed which can open up the floor for him. His best basketball is when he is playing in the half-court. He had a productive rookie campaign and is looking to build off it.
