Recruiting Report: DJ LeBeau (2018)
Last night whenever DJ LeBeau and his New Town squad got down they came back at top ranked Stanley with everything the had. LeBeau and company fell 83-73 but the Eagles showed the level of fight they have.
“My team is pretty good, we just cracked the top 10 in the state and we are undefeated which hasn’t happened in awhile,” DJ said before the game. “We have Stanley coming up next Thursday, along with Beulah and Shiloh as well. We got some tough games which I am excited for!”
LeBeau and New Town back down from nobody. Wins at 7-4 Power Lake, 9-1 Beach, 5-3 Mandaree, 7-3 North Shore, 7-4 Bowman County, 7-4 Dunseith, 7-1 White Shield, and of course undefeated Stanley was a ten point loss.
Through ten games New Town is 9-1 and eight of those teams are listed about with very strong records.
“Our goals are to win all the postseason tournaments,” LeBeau said. “I myself am just trying to do that and play well for the team!”
When it comes to their own district (15) the Eagles have a leg up on everyone else already beating the top competition once. That said, the Region (8) still has Stanley in it. But New Town has faced them once and will be battled tested.
What about next year? LeBeau knows where he wants to go.
“I am kind of hearing from U of Mary! I would love to go there.”
LeBeau recently went over 1,00o career points as you can see below.
