Quality big men are often hard to come by at the state’s smaller classifications, but Mitchell is one of several post players who has displayed the ability to play at the next level. The 6’8 Mitchell has the ability to play with his back to the basket as well as being an effective play maker facing the basket. He does a nice job of rebounding on both ends & is also one of the better rim protectors at the 2A level.

A dominant player at the 2A level as a junior, Mitchell proved he was more than just a small school star that put up numbers because he’s 6-foot-8. The senior appeared at a number of college camps and showcases and fared well, showing solid fundamentals in the post, the ability to run the floor, and a good touch on his shot from the mid-range on in. He’s already garnered a number of D-III roster spot offers and more possibilities could come after a big senior season.
