The 6’5 forward defends taller players, moves his feet, arms extended, works side to side. He’ll get wide running the court, will catch, show a ball fake, or jab step, then drive to the basket for transition layups. He can use his dribble to attack the baseline and from perimeter at times. He has 3-point range, works the high, mid, and low post with passing or aggressively attacking the basket. He boxes out, an active rebounder on both ends.

The 6-foot-6 wing/slasher is an athletic and bouncy player that has perimeter skills to attack from the wing, the bounce to alter shots from various spots on the floor, can space the floor from beyond the arc, and had two of the top plays of the event with a pair of nasty dunks off the in-bound lob and the transition bang out over two defenders. Garcia had a monster game against Clovis West on Day 1, which was one of the top games of the Shootout, where he would go for 13 points and 2 blocks, with 11 of those points coming after the break to help his team keep its lead and get the win. Garcia has great lateral foot-speed, active hands, and good timing to jump passing lanes, deflect passes, alter shots on the perimeter, block shots in the paint, especially coming from the weak-side, and is a beast on the boards, where he gets points off missed shots or limits opponents to single shot possessions. Garcia moves fluidly off the ball, slashes to the open spot, and gets great lift on the jumper off the catch with range extended to the 3-point line, which opens up the floor for him or teammates to attack. Garcia has good timing on the dive to get open for the lob, runs the floor well in the open court to get open, and seals his defender off nicely on the in-bound pass to get open for the catch and dunk that gets his team hyped. Very intriguing prospect that can play various spots on the court and impacts both ends with great energy.

3.83 GPA. He showed himself to be a legitimate DII or DIII prospect his one day at the event (Saturday). We’ve seen Garcia raise his level of play throughout the Spring and Summer. Standing 6’6 has good movement on the court, can be effective from different areas on the court. He has decent handles, ball movement. He has a jump shot from mid-range out to the 3-point line, shoots 3’s better than we thought. He can work the boards, a solid body to get paint points.

Clutch Elite played a fun and competitive game Vs Grand Park Premier in a makeup on Sunday after their opponents of their scheduled games had to forfeit. Garcia stood out with multiple impressive reverse layups with his left hand and impressive touch on layups. Garcia also had a sweet jump pass to the corner off a euro step move, showing his ability to drive and make quick adaptive decisions. Impressive game by Garcia on Sunday against a quality PRO16 team.

Judging from his work up to this point, he’ll be major contributor. He’s showing he can play on the wings and in the paint. He’s producing paint points when they go to him using improved footwork, drop steps, reverses, and power moves in traffic, including dunks. He’s taking and making 3-pointers, on occasion. He’s an alert post defender, will get his share of rebounds. He’s a court runner. Played well at Section 7.

He’s an active and alert post defender sees the court. Arms extended takes up space, ready to slide over to help or challenge a shots, he boxes out. He’s a good size target on the low block shows his hands, stance, balance will power up or kick it out. He runs to the high post, sets screens, reverses the ball, goes down to work for offensive rebounds.
