Phenom Memorial Day Classic: NC Standouts

This has been a must-stop for me the last two years and symbolizes the final event of the Spring Season for many teams. Coulter was running with [program_tooltip program_id='2376481' first='Charlotte' last='Aces'] this weekend and had a couple of impressive performances. In the one I watched, he caught fire from behind the arc, knocking down six threes including the game-winner in overtime. Deshawn's ability to hit the outside shot set up the rest of the game, allowing him to use his hesitation move to get defenders off balance. He can excel on or off the ball, as he is a capable perimeter shooter, active cutter, good athlete, and dependable ball-handler. Darius is fast with the ball in his hands, making him a weapon in the open floor. He crashes the glass on the defensive end of the floor and will look to bring it up himself. Williams came up short in the matchup with Coulter and the Aces, but that game would've been much different without him on the floor. 18 of his 25 points came in the second half, as he began to use his physical advantage to score in the paint. Travien also racked up 4 steals and a block as his athleticism affected the game on the defensive end too. However, Justin left a great first impression on me earning him a spot in this list. He is a rangy wing who is an aggressive scorer and an all-around difference-maker. Frye has good positional size and athleticism, allowing him to shoot over defenders, be a lob threat in transition, and protect the rim. Holland had an impressive scoring outing in a big win over 3SSB's Upward Stars, going for 26 points. He scored at all three levels, using his handle to get downhill, athleticism to finish at the rim, and jump shooting ability to pull up or spot up. Trevor is very crafty in the paint and can finish around shot blockers or over them with floaters. Holland is also a pest on the defensive end and tallied 3 steals forcing many more tough shots. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
