When he’s in his flow state, Allen can mix up his scoring tactics operating in the mid-post or on the block where he can hit tough fallaways or get to his left shoulder for hooks. He also plays with feel and instincts as a screen-and-pop guy that can make decisions as a swingman at the top of the key. When he gets downhill, he brings a surprising layer of wiggle to get to the rim. Allen is a presence on the glass and notched his fair share of double-doubles throughout the spring and summer. His size, versatility, and feel leave plenty of room for growth and potential for a healthy boost if he can get off to a hot start this high school season.

Jack’s elite motor and toughness were great today, and it felt like he outworked everyone on the court. Jack has excellent touch and uses his strength to get to the rim. Jack’s physicality helped him get to the line a lot, and a small Riverside team had no answer for him. He finished with 30 points and 10 rebounds in a BCC blowout win.

Allen is an old-school forward who thrives inside of twelve feet. He has great touch around the basket. He does a nice job of powering his way downhill. Allen has a good feel for the game and was able to find teammates for scoring chances. He doesn’t look to force looks on the offensive end. He will be a priority recruit for small colleges across the northeast.
