Space City Collision: The Stock Risers and Difference Makers

As we finalize the last Space City Collision evaluations we close with the stockrisers. These are the players that have shown and proved and will surely have an impact on the scouting landscape. Check out this group of players and how they impacted the games.    Wilson is one of those players that is fun to watch because he is unpredictable. In my second game observance he dropped 20 points, and did it everywhere on the court. He is a downhill threat, but he can pull up and knock down the mid range easily. Despite his lean frame he is strong and tough and uses his long arms to jump passing lanes and confuses opposing guards. He is a high IQ guard with a nack for making winning plays by surveying the floor and using mistmatches or missed defensive reads. His role at ASH could surely increase this upcoming season with his current skill set.     LaCour is an interesting prospect in the class of 2028 because he already has the look of an impact basketball player. He is long with lean muscle development and the height perfect for the modern game. He has speed and athleticism. He is also active on both sides of the ball. He constantly displays his quick jumping ability and uses it to deter guards from coming in the lane looking for easy layups. Look for LaCour to make some noise this summer and carry that into the upcoming summer high school basketball season.     Moreno is a developing big with all the tools to be an impact player. His size and athleticism are his biggest assets, but he also has the foundational skill required to carry a team in the future. His physical frame is beyond his years and his ability to rebound and finish at the rim make him an interesting prospect in the state. Consider him one to watch for sure in the state as the class of 2028 is showing that they have size to contend with and that is what coaches are looking for in todays game.     Auriantal is a nicely sized wing player with a versatile skillset, capable of contributing effectively both on and off the ball. Throughout the tournament, he demonstrated true leadership qualities on the court. He resembles Draymond Green in his knack for doing all the little things exceptionally well, consistently being in the right place at the right time to make a play. He uses his size effectively to finish at the rim with both hands and runs the floor well, showcasing his athleticism. Auriantal possesses all the intangibles and the right demeanor for success at the next level. He shoots the ball with great form and as his confidence grows in his jumper, his potential for the next level will continue to grow. McKinney plays with high energy but doesn't demand the ball to make an impact. He moves well off the ball to create plays and works efficiently within half-court sets. He can knock down the three and is an efficient slasher, needing just two dribbles to get to the rim or pull up for a shot. He is equally effective on the defensive end. Overall, it was a nice weekend for the Cenla Hoops player, showcasing his potential to be a key contributor for Alexandria Senior High.
