Dylan Obrzut
Combo Guard/Shooting Guard
About Dylan
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m an aggressive, downhill player who attacks the rim with confidence and finishes through contact. I can knock down three-pointers, which forces defenders to respect my shot and opens the floor. My height gives me an advantage on the defensive end, allowing me to contest shots, block attempts, and guard multiple positions with strong on-ball and help defense.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I play the game with respect for my opponents and a strong competitive mindset. When I make a mistake, I stay composed, brush it off, and focus on the next play. I give maximum effort at all times, play hard on both ends of the floor, and constantly push myself to be the best player I can be for my team.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I have played AAU basketball since 6th grade and currently compete with Hard2Guard. I’ve been invited to recruiting combines and exposure events. I consistently work hard to improve my game, set higher goals, and gain more visibility with college coaches.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Through years of AAU basketball and competitive play, I’ve developed strong teamwork and leadership skills by communicating on the court, supporting teammates, and leading by example with effort and discipline. I’ve learned to stay mentally tough, respond positively to mistakes, and always compete with respect for opponents
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I’ve faced being cut from the high school basketball team many times, but did not give up and kept pushing through. I work harder and train harder to try and make it the next year and don’t let any challenges affect my confidence.
What type of college are you looking for?
I am looking to play at any college level from JUCO-D1 and work my way up through practice and training. I look for colleges that have a great community and that can help me get better and train my hardest.
