Annually the Chi-Town Tip Off is a must attend event for competition and coverage for Illinois teams. This year was no different. PHI had all five of our scouts in the gyms for this event. We continue our examination of the prospects here in Chi-Town Tip Off: 2026 Illinois Post New Names!

[player_tooltip player_id='2875759' first='Mustaf' last='Rexhepi'] ([player_tooltip player_id='2391665' first='Kessel' last='Heat'] 17U)

The Niles North 6'4” power forward operated as a skilled post-point for [player_tooltip player_id='2391665' first='Kessel' last='Heat']. His passing was so good making everyone on the court better getting them clean looks. Give and go passes, hitting shooters, and cutters. Touch around the hoop and stretched hitting a three. Not the biggest or most athletic, but was aware on the defensive end making plays.

[player_tooltip player_id='2515335' first='Amari' last='Cornell'] (Chi-Town Bulldogs 17U)

Cornell is a 6'6” power forward from Marshall that physically more than looks the part with his broad shoulders, strength, and long arms. Finished out of the dunker spot, ran the floor in transition, and showed some touch on a jumper including a corner three. Good area rebounder.

[player_tooltip player_id='2821378' first='Sasha' last='Matushevskiy'] ([program_tooltip program_id='2075527' first='Ignite' last='Hoops'] 17U)

Four man from Maine South that was effective running the floor, getting on the offensive boards, and scoring on nifty layups around the hoop.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323271' first='Gavin' last='Mueller'] (M14 Gold 17U)

Mueller is a football prospect that will be committing soon for that sport, but we remember him as a 15U hooper and he played with M14 this weekend. The South Elgin 6'6” 255 pound four man is a mauler on the interior with his strength and quickness. Snatches rebounds, throws down big dunks, and can stretch with his shooting out to three.

Luke Seagroves ([program_tooltip program_id='2414566' first='Mike' last='Glennon Elite'] 17U)

Mt. Carmel 6'5” four man with broad shoulders and long arms really opened up our eyes with his play. He shot it well from three along with a sweet turnaround jumper. Also liked how well he passed it as a post. More than comfortable as a face up four that can beat a team with his skill.
