Haller is a new name and stock riser for me after this weekend as he does a ton of things that keep you on the floor. He doesn’t need a high volume of touches to make his mark in the game, and he provides energy. He made timely plays, hit multiple 3-pointers, and consistently found ways to help South go on runs when he was in. Good things happened when he was on the floor; he provided momentum and gave quality minutes off the bench. Players like that are hard to find, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he becomes a key piece for South this season.

Haller showcased quickness and an ability to blow by defenders to finish at the rim. He moved well without the ball, finding open spots and playing the right way in a showcase setting. Defensively, he switched onto guards and held his own. His blend of effort, awareness, and skill makes him an intriguing player to follow moving forward.
