Ascherl was everywhere on the court and his size made a huge impact. He had opponents second guessing their shots or kicking it back out, just to avoid him. In the paint, he was a force where he was blocking shots, getting hands on passes, and shutting all things down inside. If the shot didn’t fall Ascherl was right there to snag the rebound and push the ball up the floor, getting his team moving in transition. He was easily the best player on the court at all times
