Kicking off our Sunflower Classic coverage, we'll be looking into the standout prospects of the 15U division. As you'll probably notice, multiple players from this list are from Mokan Elite 2030. Playing up an age group, they showed out all weekend. Dominating all four of their opponents, winning by over 10 in all of them.

When you take into account his age and size, Critten is the most athletic player I've ever watched. Standing at only 5'7, he has a 40-inch vertical, and that might even be low. The soon-to-be 9th grader's eyes light up when he sees an opening in the paint. Outside of dunking, Critten is incredibly quick and crafty around the rim. With a tight handle, he can create for himself and seems to favor the mid-range. The lefty doesn't need much room before he rises over defenders. The sky is the literal limit for Samajai, and it'll be exciting to see what the next 4 years bring.

(Photo above is Samajai playing for Mokan Elite this past weekend.)

Lael Brown is the floor general for Mokan, creating looks for everyone else. He's uber quick and can get around anyone. Which usually leads to either a pass to an open teammate or a crafty finish for Lael. When looking to score, Brown uses his impressive speed to quickly rise up for a midrange shot or utilize a euro step. What makes Lael a special offensive talent is his ability to play under control and almost always make the right read. If the already solid shot continues to develop, Brown has the potential to be an incredibly talented three-level scorer.

(Photo above shows Lael Brown getting past an opposing defender.)

Connelly is a big body who plays just like you want a center to play. The 6'10 post uses his strength to his advantage in the paint, ripping boards and balls away from others. He works well off the ball, positioning himself for dump-offs and rebounds. One thing I love about Ascherl is that he wants the ball. When he does get it, he shows nice touch around the rim, utilizing post hooks and spin layups.

Playing center for VWBA, Cowan projects to be more of a four at the next level. He's got all the intangibles and confidence you want to see at his age. Against a tall Midwest group, it was difficult to find open shots down low for Cowan. He still was an offensive impact, stretching the floor and playmaking out of the high post. Cowan has an impressive defensive IQ, disturbing opponents with his help side. If he wasn't pinning a shot off the backboard, he was impacting shots out of the help side.

(Photo above is Freddie Cowan slamming it down in warm-ups.)

Playing for a star-studded Mokan squad, the touches are limited for everyone. Braylon Harris is able to make the most of his chances, being a good floor spacer and back-door cutter. Defensively, he's a versatile forward who holds his own almost all the time. As we start to get back into high school ball, Braylon should be able to display his deeper bag. Harris has a nice pull-up game from the mid-range and can finish strong at the basket.

(Photo above shows Braylon Harris in the post against Family First AAU.)
