Gavin had an unreal season to cap off one of the best playoff runs by anyone in recent history. Lowe was just 6 points shy of reaching 600 points scored in a season. If you really think about what he did this season he did it all while being the major focus of every teams scouting report. Lowe also scored the 3rd most points in the entire state this year. Although scoring was something that was obvious that he did, Lowe was unreal rebounding and creating for others. Arguably in the Top 5 of best motor in the state.

The Film

When you watch film on Lowe you can see a lot of issues that he can cause a defense.

First, of he plays in a read and react system so it is hard to find a pattern to go off of and even then Lowe will always take what you give him. When he is working off of pin-downs he stays close to the ground and when he comes off off those screens he is catching the ball loaded and ready to shoot or ready to put the ball on the floor. That uncertainty that he creates for defenders is what hurts them as they are just guessing what he will do. The quickness in his first step is deadly. If the help side is not ready he will beat them all of the time and his athleticism allows him to elevate above many players helping.

Lowe is also one of the best in the state when it comes to playing off of two feet and using his pivots. He is not the tallest player but he plays smart and that is where he gets the advantage. That quickness he has is also used in keeping defenders off balance when he is playing off of two feet. Many times you see him moving to multiple positions using his pivot to get his shot off.

What to Expect Next Year

Next year expect him to increase his range and shooting percentage from beyond the arc.

Next Level Prospect

We do not want to put a ceiling on this kid because sky is the limit and he can play at a high level in college, he just needs a chance and he has that winning mentality that many coaches gravitate to.
