About Colton

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

First, it should be noted that I live in Douglas, WY. I play for Morgan Dawgs Elite Basketball Club based out of Colorado. I'm a tough 6'7 C/PF, I do whatever I can to help my team win. I look for quick dumpoffs and put backs, and rebound offensively and defensively. I post up hard and draw two defenders to kick it out to my teammates for a better shot.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a hard worker when it comes to playing basketball. I am athletic and have great physicality. I'm a good sport, and am always helping players off the floor whether they're on my team or not. I have a big heart and I frequently get compliments about my passion for the game and my sportsmanship.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I wake up at 3am every year on Memorial Day to help cook breakfast for veterans so they can have a good meal. I also help ref middle school and rec league basketball games. I completed a ref reps class to get my official license to do so. I take underclassmen under my wing and mentor them and work well with all my teammates. I also like to get my team amped up during games.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I broke my arm in the 2023 football season and in just 6 weeks I was able to start playing basketball and had a very successful season. After that same season we lost all five of our starters due to graduation and we've all had to step up to the plate and push ourselves to be better.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking to pursue a degree in fire science so I can work for the forest service, flying planes and putting out fires for them. I'm not quite sure what I'm looking for just yet, but I would like to pursue my secondary education after high school.
