An effective glue guy who consistently made the right play with the ball, surveying the defense out of triple threat or on the dribble drive to find cutters with pinpoint passes that hit them right in their pocket, allowing them to catch and go straight up into a shot. He scored within the offense well, knocking down open three-point attempts and finishing cuts with layups, showing efficiency and discipline. Exceptional fundamentals, good pivot footwork, and instinctive swim moves to protect the ball from defenders, maintaining control in tight spaces.

Chris was a machine in the paint for Magic Basketball Club 16u in their comeback victory over East Texas Magic on Friday night. Anguiano got to the basket at will and was consistent finishing under the rim, then would transition to playing great full court defense on whoever the opposing team’s best ballhandler was. Chris’s energy was definitely contagious for the rest of his team as he helped fuel a 12-2 run at one point in the second half. He knows how to handle the ball under pressure and is a willing passer but can also score when his team needs a bucket. I was very impressed by Anguiano’s game and will be locked in on him all weekend.

Lockdown defender with an unlimited motor that allowed him to dominate the defensive end from sideline to sideline. His versatility on defense stood out, guarding multiple positions and matching up against both quicker guards and stronger wings. Anguiano’s lateral quickness, foot speed, and tenacity allowed him to pick up opposing point guards full court and pressure the ball relentlessly. A true disruptor who thrived in chaos.
