5 Best: Normal Community vs Rock Island

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Tuesday night we caught a semi in the Collinsville Sectional, but because this game was between a pair of central Illinois squads Rock Island and Normal Community they met up in Pekin to play.  Normal led at the half and steadily pushed the lead as the game went on.  Rock Island made a run late, but in the end Normal closed it out 54-44.  Check out our look at the game in commit is a wide bodied five man that was an anchor down low.  Started the game off with one of things he does best which is sealing off on the block.  The five man got a pair of seals for buckets in the early going.  Really like how well he uses his frame and has soft touch and nimble footwork round the hoop.  He was a grown man on the glass as he cleared them one after another all night long on both ends, but was particularly effective on the defensive end not giving Rock Island multiple chances after missed jumpers.  Goes after them aggressively and high points them with his long arms.  Excellent shot blocking presence down low that turned away a number of shots.  He had 10 points and double digit boards.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block --> <!-- settled in and made several key plays when it counted.  The lanky sophomore wing has a lot of projectability with his frame.  Plus shot maker who drained a crisp baseline jumper along with a three en point guard is such a crafty scorer in the lane.  He did it all game long with his ability to get in the paint for nifty and creative layups one after another.  Scored on cuts off the ball, got to the rankings update.  The 5'10” point guard plays taller than that with his length.  Slick ball handler that makes it look easy slithering through the defense for scores in both transition and the half court.  Very effective soft touch finishing game.  Can also really shoot it well from distance as he got that rolling in the second half hitting a trio of them for 19 points.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph sweet runner game which he utilized early.  Thomas is also a nice shooter off the catch hitting from three as he racked up 12 points.  Has some quickness to his game that is worth monitoring over the
