NOVA Standouts Of The Week 2/17/25-2/21/25

There are a couple of players on this Meridian team that I can highlight, and one of them is Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1963398' first='Will' last='Davis']. Will is an elite shooter with deep range. He has a quick release and does a good job in the mid-range when players close out on him. He can play on or off the ball, and he is one of the many fantastic contributors this Meridian team has. Kaden is a good spot-up shooter, and he gets after it defensively. Kaden has nice length and provides a lot on both ends of the floor. On Monday in the final, Ethan had a huge game. He had 31 points and a bunch of timely buckets. Ethan is a true point guard who does whatever is asked of him. If you need him to score, he can do that in bunches, as you saw in their final win over Potomac. Ethan knows how to control the pace of the game, and if you need him to manage a game and get his teammates involved, he is well-equipped to do that as well. He sets a good example for his teammates as well as a committed defender. He is a complete guard who is leading a good Edison team. Isaiah scores from all over the court, and he has elite vision. Isaiah is a fantastic defender and rebounds well for a guard. Isaiah is a coach on the court with his IQ and ability to be a leader. They went from having a losing record in their district to winning 3 games in a row they probably were not expected to win. Jake Bell was instrumental for McLean during this run, and he did his best work in their first-round win over Langley. Jake is a good off-ball mover with a quick release. He is a knockdown shooter, and it's where he did all of his work offensively. He had 6 threes, and he had a nice week in general to help McLean capture a district title.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
