Recruiting Report: Jagger Miller (2018)
Six-foot-7 Jagger Miller is one of the more interesting unsigned seniors in the North Dakota senior class. Miller is averaging nearly a double-double through seven games for Devils Lake.
The Firebirds are off to a 2-5 start having played the 1st, 3rd, 6th, 7th, and 9th ranked Class A teams in state. The Firebirds have won the games that they were either the favorite or it was a 50-50 match-up, but were the underdog in the other five and they lost those five.
Devils Lake has a chance to win their next three games and even their record but they will need to play well.
“We are a very young team that needs to control the pace of game to be successful,” Miller said. “We are in the middle of a five game road trip against very talented teams that play a high tempo game so that could cause issues.”
The final game of that five game run is Friday at Valley City. Jagger has given his team almost 13 points a game while rebounding at over nine boards a contest. Miller has posted three double-doubles so far this year. Miller has high expectations for himself.
“I’d like our team to make the EDC tournament and make a good run, more importantly be close on every game we play and compete. As for myself I constantly strive to be the best player I can be and I believe I can be one of the best in the state.”
Miller’s energy and effort has caught the attention of a fair share of college programs so far.
