SANTA ANA — The 2025 Nike Extravaganza at Mater Dei high school marked the 30th edition of the prestigious event. This year's field brought together many of California's top programs and players in addition to some out of state participants. In this piece we detail the best scorers from Saturday's action.

[player_tooltip player_id='1630617' first='Brayden' last='Burries'] | 2025 | Eastvale Roosevelt

Burries is one of the top undecided players in the country and, fresh off of a selection to the McDonald's All-American Game, the 6-foot-5 guard dropped a game-high 28 points in Roosevelt's win over Bishop Gorman. Burries got to the free throw line 17 times and connected on 14 of the freebies from the charity stripe.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956481' first='Eli' last='Garner'] | 2026 | Damien

With Damien missing two key pieces on its front-line in [player_tooltip player_id='1630667' first='Nate' last='Garcia'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2575489' first='Jayden' last='Avina'], Garner has to shoulder more responsibility on the offensive end. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard scored 22 points in the Spartans loss to San Clemente but remained efficient as a shooter from mid and three-point range.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956616' first='Jaden' last='Bailes'] | 2026 | St. Augustine

Bailes is one of the premier prospects in the San Diego area regardless of class and much of that fanfare has to do with his ability to score. The 6-foot-1 combo guard has elite shot-creating and shot-making ability and does so from every level and area of the floor. Bailes finished with a game-high 29 points in a loss to Corona Centennial and knocked down six three-pointers in the process.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571749' first='Liam' last='Gray'] | 2025 | Los Alamitos

Gray is an under-appreciated point guard in SoCal's 2025 class and his strong senior season should open the eyes of NAIA and Division III programs in need of a steady decision-maker with a scoring punch. The 6-footer scored a game-high 22 points in Los Alamitos' win over Foothill and knocked down five of his seven three-point shots on the game.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956507' first='Luke' last='Barnett'] | 2026 | Mater Dei

Barnett is one of the more fun players to watch in Southern California because of his deep three-point shooting ability and explosive athleticism when attacking the rim. The 6-foot-3 guard had both of those offensive traits on display in Mater Dei's win over Crean Lutheran where he scored a game-high 24 points, knocked down four three-pointers and drove to the rim and finished with his usual reckless abandon.
