About Kyron

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A quick, shifty point guard with a sharp shooting touch, high energy on both ends, and strong leadership. Brings out the best in teammates and responds well to feedback.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Every day, I come in with the mindset to be the best in the gym. I bring positive energy, stay focused on the task at hand , and take pride in leading by example on and off the court.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I’m part of a leadership group at Bloomington High School called the Raider Reps. I was selected for my ability to work with others and creative mindset. I also earned 2nd place in a Black History Month essay contest.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’ve grown as a leader through Raider Reps and as a teammate through basketball. I’ve learned how to bring energy, stay coachable, and support others both on and off the court.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Being the only freshman on varsity was a challenge. I had to prove myself against older, more experienced players. Instead of backing down, I stayed focused, worked hard every day, prayed, and led through my energy and consistency. Over time, that earned me respect as both a leader and teammate.

What type of college are you looking for?

The best college for me is one that values real leadership and hard work, where I can keep grinding both on the court and in the classroom. A place that pushes me to stay locked in, stay creative, and grow with a team that’s all about winning and supporting each.

A versatile guard who finds ways to impact both sides of the floor. He looked comfortable making plays in transition and stayed active in the half court, using cuts and backdoor screens to free himself and open up teammates. King showed good timing slipping behind the defense and delivered sharp passes in stride. On the defensive end, his ball pressure stood out as he stayed engaged and made opponents work for every touch.
