Have been very impressed with Marlow’s play this spring and summer, and while a lot of it is his jump in skill and progress over some more technical aspects of his game, it always comes back to how hard he plays. He’s a borderline 6-foot-2, but he gets off at least one or two dunks every time I watch him play. He showed that while he can knock down the outside shots at a higher rate than a year ago, he’s going to try and get to the hoop and deliver some punishment to anyone in his way. He had one sequence where he blocked a shot off the backboard and then ran the floor, got the ball, and earned a foul by the rim. The play is never over for him and it shows each time he goes out there. He had 29 points against Cole Valley, and 26 points against Grant.

Marlow is an athletic wing from Shorewood who showed his ability to play out of different spots at the showcase. He’s only 6-foot-2 or 6-foot-3, but he’s built strong, plays physical, and can get up and finish strong at the rim. This helped him get into pick-and-rolls as both screener and ballhandler. He shoots it well enough to be a threat catching away from the hoop, and has the strength to drive by guys with a good first step.

Marlow brought some important energy from the start with some highlight blocks early in the game. He’s a solid athlete who found some offensive success using his strength to attack downhill and get to the rim, then mixed in some jumpers in the midrange. Showed a lot of grit to keep the Stormrays in the game.
