East Kentwood’s got something here with this young man. It was his energy and effectiveness on the defensive end that stood out the most. Jones forced a tie up quickly as he entered the game and followed that with a steal that turned into instant offense for his teammate. Jones hustled back on transition defense and beat an offensive player to their spot which forced a turnover. He also picked up an open floor block. Jones showed that he could distribute and score on the offensive end. He had an on target transition bounce pass for an assist and a nice dump off pass for another assist. Jones scored multiple times off physical dribble drives to the rim.
