One of the best shooters from deep in the state also has an exceptional ability to let it fly with minimal space, thanks to his quick release. He confidently hits shots from several feet beyond the three-point line, making him a constant threat to opposing defenses. His outstanding ball-handling skills allow him to create his own shot and navigate through tight defenses seamlessly. Additionally, Dykstra excels in transition offense, pushing the pace and capitalizing on fast-break opportunities with precision shooting.

Gunnar was the 2nd half of a dynamic guard combination for the Lyncs. They are a 1A favorite as we enter the state tourney and Dykstra is a big reason why. He is a lethal three point shooter, having legitimate range and a fast release. He can dribble the ball well and attacks the paint smoothly, having different ways to finish to get the bucket. 

The smooth-shooting lefty showed some legit skill last season with his ability to drop in outside shots, attack closeouts, and handle the ball with a good base and change of direction. He’s a kid who has the ability to rack up threes and then play off of that by getting into space and making the defense move.

A phenomenal shooter from deep, he has the uncanny ability to knock down shots even when he’s off-balance, making him a constant threat beyond the arc. His sharpshooting prowess doesn’t waver under defensive pressure, as he effortlessly sinks shots with a hand in his face. Beyond his shooting, he handles the ball with finesse, weaving through defenders to either finish at the rim or create opportunities for his teammates. His combination of elite shooting and dynamic playmaking makes him a standout talent.
