The following are the best 5 junior college prospects in Hendersonville, Tennessee. What this means is that they will eventually receive the greatest recruiting attention and enjoy the best opportunities.

Though the ultimate decision in this specific ranking was mine alone I strongly considered input from head coaches from around the city. For example, I was able to get Beech Head Coach Kip Brown on the phone January 15th.

1) [player_tooltip player_id='1560719' first='Trey' last='Pearson'] (John Paul II)

Merely five games into his season after recovering from injury, Trey is finding his wind. The junior star is averaging 11.4 points per game, 6.8 rpg, and 4.4 apg along with an uncharacteristically high 3.2 topg.

Tied 2) [player_tooltip player_id='1578715' first='Osby' last='Cavin'] (John Paul II)

Fall 2024 breakout star for JP2. Junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='1578715' first='Osby' last='Cavin'] scores in a plethora of ways: slashing, shooting, put-backs. After 18 games, Osby is averaging 17.9 ppg, 4.7 apg, and 2.9 rpg on 46% shooting.

Tied 2) [player_tooltip player_id='2439013' first='Cutter' last='Sisk'] (Beech)

What does Cutter do well?

"Just about everything (well)" shared Beech Head Coach Kip Brown. "He is averaging 22 and 10r. He can go to the post. Shoot the 3. He can put the ball on the floor."

Sisk took a big jump in the last 12 months.

"We knew he was going to be good, but not this good," said Coach Brown. "His footwork is phenomenal. He can get anywhere on the court. He is not fast, but he is quick."

Our worry at PrepHoopsTN was...'is he going to be tall enough to play college forward?' The junior grew a few inches in the last 10 months.

"We hope he is still growing," said Coach Brown referring to his eventual height. He is 6'7"+. It is hard to say what his ceiling is. He got some interest last year from D1 programs. I have never coached anybody like him. He has come along defensively. He rebounds really well. He has phenomenal instincts...He is not a great athlete, but he is very fluid."

4) [player_tooltip player_id='1508978' first='Jarron' last='Talley'] (John Paul II)

Athletic two-way guard [player_tooltip player_id='1508978' first='Jarron' last='Talley'] scores about 14 points per all while collecting 5.1 rpg and 3.3 apg.

5) [player_tooltip player_id='2270751' first='Champ' last='Nix'] (Beech)

Athletic dual-sport athlete. Good strength. Hard-worker. Rebounds with high effort.

"He played quite a bit last year as a sophomore," said Coach Brown. "6'3"-6'4". His brother played college football at Tennessee Tech. Champ wants to play basketball. His brother liked football better."
