Mid Season Spotlight: 2025 DFW Area Scorers That Have Impressed

With most teams in the DFW area being at their mid season point, there has been some seniors who have impressed with high scoring numbers and scoring abilities that deserve more recognition. Throughout the season, the players being mentioned in this article have had consistent scoring numbers while showcasing their skill set that helps them score with ease.    Jones is a silky smooth guard that has shown he can score on all three levels. Doesn't waste dribbles and is good at getting to his spots to score. He has good athleticism when going downhill in the lane which leads to strong finishes at the rim. His mid range shot and three point shot are both consistent and pure excelling at pull up jumpers or catch and shoot jumpers. Plays well off the ball and is good at making timely cuts to score at the basket.     Most of his scoring comes by his smooth three point shot, but he's also shown he can score in many different ways. He has good speed and the agility to get by defenders to finish at the basket. His touch around the basket is solid and can finish with good athleticism. Doesn't need much space to get his jumper off as shooting and converting on contested jumpers isn't a problem. He has proven to have a consistent three point shot.     A quick and aggressive guard, Richardson knows how to control his pace to benefit his scoring. He plays with good composure and doesn't get sped up by defenders. Can change his pace well to catch defenders off guard and get by them. Has solid footwork in the paint and around the basket for a guard. Has a good shooting ability and can be deadly from the three when he's feeling it. Knows the proper way to space the floor and can execute plays.     The first player in his school's history to score 1000 points, McGraw has solidified himself as a player who can but the ball in the basket. His movements are quick and shifty often giving him the opportunity to break down defenders and finish at the basket. He can also break down defenders on the perimeter to get open jumpers. Can score well in transition by running the floor or using his speed with the ball to go coast to coast. His touch overall is good and he's displayed this with his floater and shooting ability.     Thrower is a guard who has an all around game and mainly excels with scoring the ball. He plays with good intensity on both defense and offense often causing turnovers on defense that leads to points on offense. Has a good ability of finding holes or weak spots in defenses to attack and score at the basket. He's athletic when going to the basket and can make crafty moves to get around defenders to score. His scoring motor can be aggressive and he's shown to have the ability to hit jumpers.     Briggs is an athletic scoring wing that has a versatile game on offense. Spaces the floor well and is a threat to knock down threes. Has a good pull up mid range game and has the ability to hit tough shots. Moves with good speed and strength when in transition to score at the basket or around the basket. Can create shots for himself with a solid handle and using his strength to back down defenders.
