We take a spin around the Metro at teams that are gracious enough to tag me in their feeds, and have put together impressive first halves to their seasons.

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='1861339' first='Huey' last='Blalock'] (pictured at top) has been lighting it up for the Wildcats as they're out at 12-3 as 2025 looms, the 5-foot-10 guard has his patented stepback 3-ball to unleash on you, but can create some space off the bounce and is a good facilitator as well. There's balance with several others who can't be ignored, they check in at #6 in Kyle Sandy's latest A-D1 rankings.

We've touched on Lambert before, expecting big things earlier in the season from them, and they've delivered, roaring out to a 12-2 mark at the halfway point, and clearly establishing their own version of the Big 3 with Cam Bland, Will Dopfer and Kenny LaRue guiding their success. In a packed and deep 6A group of teams, the Horns are currently #8 as Sandy sees it.

I've been a huge fan of the Matt Welch hire up in Hoschton since day one, a superb tactician and energy guy who has Hawasak playing solid ball out at 11-6 before the New Year. A lot of guys are contributing as you follow their feed, but junior riser [player_tooltip player_id='2308801' first='Braxton' last='Rembert'] and senior guard Bryce Barracliff have been leading the charge, and both just made All-Tournament in the Jaxco Holiday Tourney.

Sequoyah has won 5 out of 6 as they prep for their January schedule, moving to 9-6 in the process. Senior guards [player_tooltip player_id='2046356' first='Cade' last='Lomas'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1444780' first='Brendan' last='Tousignaut'] are the headliners, but this crew plays solid team ball and gets crucial contributions down the line on the roster.

Those who have followed my work over the years know how much respect I have for the Chapel Hill program, and the Panthers are cooking again behind [player_tooltip player_id='2046355' first='CJ' last='Geathers'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2478469' first='Christian' last='McAllister'] and stand at 11-4 with January right around the bend. They just went 2-1 at the Lemon Street Classic with wins over McDonough and South Gwinnett, and a tight setback to Walton.

Centennial just had a 5-game winning streak interrupted, but have battled as they always do under Matt Barksdale with a veteran bunch to get to 10-5 with a few days off to prep for January. Pick your poison with this team, senior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2673515' first='Jacob' last='Turner'] has made huge strides, while 6-foot-7 fellow senior [player_tooltip player_id='2245651' first='Ishindi' last='Sakulanda'] has also really dug in and made a big jump in his development, which surely has benefited marquee guys like Kam Stone, [player_tooltip player_id='2245676' first='Lamari' last='Campbell'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2102288' first='Noah' last='Brady'].
