The season is just around the corner. We have had a busy fall seeing players in various settings including camps, workouts, and open gyms. In our Market Corrections series there are two types of movement. First are new players that are moving into the rankings from the evaluations this fall. The second is prospects that made “significant” moves up the board. We will be breaking down both of these areas for each class along with the reasoning from the fall evaluations that made them names we wanted to correct before the season gets underway.

Here are Market Corrections: 2025 New Additions!

[player_tooltip player_id='2494146' first='AJ' last='Morgan'] (Vernon Hills)

“The first kid who stood out to me was AJ. A 6'5” physically mature forward who made a great first impression. He started with some powerful dunks in the first run. A one-handed tomahawk and later he took off down the lane with a two-handed dunk. As Morgan started to warm up he hit some shots from three showing his ability as a stretch four man. On defense he controls the glass and is an intimidating shot blocker. AJ is a huge sleeper in the class. He plays with a continuous motor and is a dependable ball handler when teams apply pressure. He will be on my list for players to add to our next update.” – Steve Parham from Chi-Town Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2631981' first='Ammar' last='Ibrahim'] (MCC Academy)

“Ammar is a long and lanky guard who uses his length well on the court. He's a thin 6'6” player who can score from the perimeter and is capable of scoring in the lane. He's smooth with the handle and plays with confidence. As a defender Ibrahim's strength is contesting shots that are just outside his area. He must add strength to help out on the boards more but guarding bigger players wasn't an issue for him at all. Ammar had the skill and length to contribute to a college team next season.” - – Steve Parham from Chi-Town Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2631983' first='Camren' last='Marlow'] (Julian)

This 6'6” athletic combo forward is emerging as a legit prospect heading into his senior season. The athleticism really pops as does his potential as a long term prospect.

[player_tooltip player_id='1429732' first='Caleb' last='Burgins'] (Proviso West)

“Scoring guard who can play on and off the ball. Good looking shot and has a nice second gear to blow past guys.” – Steve Parham

Hamza Shouman (Lombard College Prep)

“Hamza is a stocky combo guard who was able to make plays attacking the rim. He was another guard who looked to control the pace of the games when he was on the court. What I liked about Shouman was his ability to handle pressure and still get players involved. He displayed a good-looking shot but overall he did a terrific job facilitating the ball.” – Steve Parham from Chi-Town Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='1766503' first='Ethan' last='Simmons'] (Marion)

“Simmons is a 6'5” wing from Marion that has good size and showed flashes on the defensive end with the way he got after it on the perimeter even blocking a shot. Flashed as a shooter with a nice looking three point shot.” – Pure Sweat Fall Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2617463' first='Yusuf' last='Saleh'] (Argo)

“This Argo 6'1” combo guard is strong with the ball off the bounce. Good handle and can use hesitation to keep opponents off balance.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2617370' first='Cole' last='Czako'] (Bishop McNamara)

“Bishop McNamara 5'11” point guard is a scrappy defender that has a solid looking jump shot. Made plays as a scorer in the open floor and has potential as a shooter.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2617459' first='Tyshawn' last='Miller'] (Multicultural Arts School)

“Miller is a 5'11” lead guard who is super slick with the rock in his hands. He has some explosive athleticism to his game as well.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2617453' first='Sebastian' last='Peppers'] (Homewood Flossmoor)

“Peppers made an impression on us with his play at the camp. The 6'2” two guard has good length and plays with a lot of swagger. Solid shooter and if defenders close on him he will shot fake and go around them for a layup.” – Prep Hoops EXPO

[player_tooltip player_id='2631987' first='Connor' last='Craig'] (Goreville)

“Craig is a 6'3” shooting guard that presents quality size on the perimeter. Scored in the paint in a variety of ways. Spinning layups, hook shots, jump stops for layups, and other crafty buckets.” – Pure Sweat Fall Showcase

[player_tooltip player_id='2442135' first='Liam' last='Hanson'] (Libertyville)

“Hanson is a 6'2” two guard that won off the bounce with his athleticism and first step. Also showed some shake getting past his defender for finishes at the rim. Acrobatic layup maker. Crashed the offensive glass from his guard spot.” – [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Showcase.
