Monday marked a fresh update to our class of 2026 rankings in Southern California and there were more than 20 new names added to the mix. Below we break down the prospects who raised their stock among those ranked in the top 50.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425677' first='Kawika' last='Suter'] | Rolling Hills Prep | Previous: 43, New: 27

Suter's combination of size and skill earned him a big bump in the latest rankings update. The 6-foot-7 wing is a terrific floor-stretching four man who knocks down open three's off the catch and can shot fake into a one or two dribble pull up jumper. Suter has also showed good feel and shot making/shot creating ability on the block.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425674' first='Jacob' last='Majok'] | Crean Lutheran | Previous 87, New: 31

Majok is one of the most skilled big men in Southern California and, with a lack of true power forward/center type prospects in the state, he should see his recruitment grow hust like his ranking did. Majok is back-to-the-basket scoring threat to either hand and his ability to elevate quickly and score with power or a skilled jump hook stand out most when you watch him play.

[player_tooltip player_id='2131789' first='Noa' last='Edwards'] | Arcadia | Previous: 49, New: 33

One of the main reasons why Edwards saw himself jump up in the rankings is his two-way impact at the combo guard spot. The 6-foot-3 junior has shown a downhill physicality when driving and finishing at the rim but also touch on a mid-range and three-point shot off the catch. Defensively, Edwards competes, communicates and is a good rebounder for his position.

[player_tooltip player_id='2425687' first='Acen' last='Jimenez'] | La Habra | Previous 48, New: 40

Jimenez jumped on the radar of SoCal scouts last season when helped lead the Highlanders to a CIF Southern Section championship and he carried that momentum into the spring and summer. The 6-foot-1 junior is a high level scoring point guard who plays the game with urgency, toughness and a high basketball IQ.

[player_tooltip player_id='1956545' first='Jalen' last='Williams'] | San Marcos | Previous 54, New: 48

Williams has been one of the region's top three-point shooters over the last year or so but his rise in the rankings has to do with his development as a secondary ball-handler and playmaker. The 6-foot-1 combo guard has tightened up his ball skills which has opened up his offensive creativity for himself and teammates inside the three-point line.

Jonas Onware | Long Beach Poly | Previous: 69, New 49

Onware is a prospect with tremendous upside who has continued to develop over the last couple of years. The junior center is a fluid athlete at 6-feet-8 whose defensive impact comes as a rim protector when altering and blocking shots around the basket. Offensively, Onware still has some work to do but he is a great rim-runner and finisher around the basket.
