Paragon Academy gets win over Impact Academy

They started off the game on a 15-0 run and never looked back. Ziare Smith and [player_tooltip player_id='2147726' first='Payton' last='Fowler'] led the way in the first half. Ziare got to work in the paint and also scored multiple dunks that gave Paragon some juice. Fowler hit 4 triples and also had some blocks as well. [player_tooltip player_id='1593428' first='Cameron' last='Kiper'] also contributed to Paragon's early success by coming up with rebounds and finding his teammates for open shots. Impact Academy eventually got on the scoreboard, and it was 38-15 at halftime. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>In the second half, Paragon's strong shooting continued. Cameron Murphy opened the half with 2 threes from the exact same spot, they were both assisted by [player_tooltip player_id='1593428' first='Cameron' last='Kiper']. After Murphy connected on his threes, [player_tooltip player_id='1945207' first='Dominic' last='Rudd'] started to take over and hit three 3's in the span of just a few minutes, 2 of which were also on back to back possessions. On defense he used his instincts and anticipation skills to come up with a number of deflections and steals. On offense, he used his crafty ball-handling ability on a few occasions to cook his defender for impressive lay-ups. Rudd also seemingly put the game away when he hit 3 threes in just a few minutes time. As the game went on he continued to be aggressive on offense and didn't miss many shots. I also liked his defensive play. He did a great job protecting the rim and had a few nice blocks.
