Here are five prospects out of the 2027 and 2028 Classes, that I would keep an eye moving into the high school season in a month or so. Each individual showed out at this event and they are looking to carry that momentum into the near future.

Thanks for tuning in and enjoy!

[player_tooltip player_id='2617609' first='Grady' last='Bresson'] jumps off the court to anyone watching him perform live with his mixture of natural length and athletic ability. Bresson is one of those prospects that you have to worry about while attacking the rim because if not, it will end in a tip, deflection, or monstrous block out of bounds. This was one of the bigger athletes at this event and he did a great job at using his size to his advantage. I'd assume if he does this during the school year that he would average some respectable numbers at Friend High School, so I'm sure that's the goal moving forward. A goal that is definitely plausible.

Whenever I talk about Omaha Skutt High School and their basketball programs, it's usually because of how talented their prospects are. In this case, it's because of SG/PG - [player_tooltip player_id='2617616' first='Jett' last='Samson']. Samson is a leader by example, a tenacious defender on and off of the ball, and someone that can get hot in a hurry from all over the floor in a plethora of different ways if the defense doesn't tag him early on. During this event, Samson mixed it up with a larger group of individuals for the skill-side of things and he did a great job of showing his worth. Didn't matter if it was 1v1, shooting jumpers, handling under pressure, 3v3, or 5v5, in everything he did a solid job as a standout and that was recognizable. I'm excited to see where Samson can take things. It looks like he also killed it this AAU season with his [program_tooltip program_id='2135066' first='Nebraska' last='Supreme'] squad so as long as he keeps working and stays on this trajectory, he is going to like the way it all works out for him in the end.

[player_tooltip player_id='2617605' first='Brogan' last='Bowhay'] is going to be a Freshman at Johnson Brock High School this Winter. Bowhay would be put in the consideration of a 6'1 CG/SF right now. He can kind of do a little bit of everything while having solid length to him arms and a smart head on his shoulders to always make a smart play on the ball. I'm not sure what he is going to become by the time that he gets to being an upperclassman but it isn't crazy to think that he could be a main producer for his Varsity squad in the end. He is a prospect that won't hurt you and he understands what the objective of the team is. Those two things can take you a long ways in this game in the right situations so we will just have to wait and see.

You can tell that [player_tooltip player_id='2617621' first='Ma'Kye' last='Burns'] wants to have the ball in his hands and he wants to be a game leader while constructing his teams offense. Just from the small amount of time that I saw Burns compete, he was trying his hardest to make a lasting impact on the floor. This is still someone that is a young prospect in the game so I think as he gains more experience as he gets older, the more he will understand of how to be the most impactful for his team. It's not always by scoring. His presence alone is going to attract attention. He just need to play off of that and the rest will be smooth sailing. Against the guards at this event, Burns showed out as one of the better overall players in attendance. There is not a doubt about that.

I am very interested in [player_tooltip player_id='2617629' first='Xavier' last='Bonner'] and where he might be able to take things on the basketball hard/football field by the end of his high school career. Bonner is someone that has a lot of raw ability at 6'0. He isn't someone that is the tallest but he isn't afraid to mix it up with players that might be bigger than him near the rim or painted area. Whenever you are getting into high school, you need to find your niche within your program and it can be a challenge at times but I don't think that will be the case for Bonner. He should standout right away as a hard worker, who can get things done so it'll all be how he is used in his team's system.

Here are five prospects out of the 2027 and 2028 Classes, that I would keep an eye moving into the high school season in a month or so. Each individual showed out at this event and they are looking to carry that momentum into the near future.
