Spencer is a player that I was able to see a few times this summer. I think he just has that next level game. He has a way of influencing every game, whether the stats are huge or not. Spencer lets the game come to him and stays very efficient. His game between the ears spells success at the next level.

Spencer was very comfortable shooting off the wing at The Expo, as I saw him multiple 3’s from there. He showed off a pretty mid range shot off the bounce as well.

Spencer was terrific during grassroots season. He’s generally a very underrated guard. The West Michigan Premier 3SGB star proved that he could both score and distribute against high level competition. Spencer could score with off the ball movement on offense and was a willing and effective passer that looked to get the ball to the hot hand.

Spencer was just really good every time I saw him play this spring and summer. He was one of the most efficient guards that I saw. Spencer was able to make plays for his teammates and himself when the situation called for it. I hope he comes to The Expo because I think he deserves more talk about his game. The coverage at the The Expo would certainly provide that.

Spencer had a big high school season and has followed that up with great grassroots play. He has quick feet that allow a fast change of direction. Combine that with his straight line speed with the ball and you get a very explosive lead guard. Spencer can create for teammates, but also light up the scoreboard himself.

Spencer has had a really good year of basketball. I’ve seen him play at a high level as recently as this spring, where his defense stood out the most. Well it looks like his offense is falling right in line. In his team’s opening win at the Wes Leonard Showcase, he finished with 19 points and 6 assists. Spencer also added 3 steals.

The WM Premier 3SGB guard stood out on D. He was very quick from his hands to his feet. Spencer stayed active and forced the ball out of his man’s hands.

Speaking of big time scorers, Spencer has been one of the most prolific scorers on the west side of the state. He’s shown that he can go both ways off the bounce and finish at the rim. Spencer has one of the fastest left to right crossover moves that I’ve seen in the last 6 months.

Spencer absolutely showed out at The Expo. He was both fast and quick with the ball and an on target passer with a good game IQ. Spencer showed that he could both bury a jumper from outside as well as finish at the rim. He can accurately be described as a breakout player at The Expo.
