Staying in the 2029 Class, Stanley is another guy who could be decisive in the 1A title race. Despite not being overly physical, Taye has a great foundation for scoring around the rim and is showing signs of improving his handle and jumper every time I watch him.

. Stanley is another local wing who impressed on Monday, helping out in a variety of roles on both ends of the floor. Taye scored 12 points on an and-one from the dunker spot, two other nice cuts for easy layups, a catch-and-shoot corner three, and a trip to the free-throw line. If he can add a little bit of strength to become more consistent around the rim, Taye could be a really good player.

. Stanley was one of the top players I wanted to see this weekend, so I can continue to get a better feel for his game. He doesn’t have a huge offensive role with Team Charlotte
16U, but stayed engaged on the offensive glass and made the right play when he put the ball on the floor. Taye is also a rangy defender who can use his length to protect the rim or force turnovers across the floor. He finished with 7 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 blocks, and 2 steals in a win over Georgia Knights.

. Stanley is one of the more intriguing wings that we have in the Palmetto State. He is definitely on the raw side of the equation, but his length is something to note. Taye was one of the better 14U players last summer and will be a key figure for whatever AAU program he plays with this season.
We admittedly didn’t get to see a ton of Stanley, catching a brief glimpse from a court over during his lone game of the morning and a bit more during the Top-60 all-star game, but what he did show was enough to warrant mention here as a long-term name worth filing away. He stood out immediately with dripping length and graceful athleticism, and in an age where the 3-and-D role is increasingly valued on the wing, showed a promising foundation as a consistent shooter from beyond the arc. We’ll be monitoring Stanley closely while he gets his feet wet at the high school level, as he looks to have long-term talent worth tracking for the D1 level.
