The annual CBG Fall Series took place again this past weekend at the beautiful Henrico Sports and Events Center, with 4 courts featuring over 40 teams from VA, NC, WV, DC and MD. There were hundreds of future college prospects in attendance, along with over double digit collegiate coaches and multiple national scouts in attendance.

In order to give a thorough breakdown of the many standouts from the event, I will be rolling out standouts all weeks in the different classes. Here's part one of four for some of the many junior standouts from VA teams in attendance.

[player_tooltip player_id='1963391' first='Deshawn' last='Spellman'] | 6'7” WF | Hopewell

Spellman joins an already stacked Hopewell team and in a couple of matchups against some big time players he showed his tremendous upside moving forward. The 6'7” wing possesses the size and athleticism coaches are looking for at the D1 level, he shot the ball well from deep off the catch, he showed his ability to attack in straight lines and finish when he got to the rim, and he has a ton of potential on the defensive end moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459212' first='Jamese' last='Jordan'] | 6'9” C | Hopewell

Jordan is another extremely intriguing prospect for this Hopewell team, as he continues to show improvements in his body and he possesses a lot of upside moving forward as he gets all of that taken care of. He's an absolute load in the post who can overpower defenders and finishes well with both hands around the rim, he showed good passing ability recognizing double teams and finding open teammates and he is already much quicker and athletic than you would expect from a player his size and age.

[player_tooltip player_id='2347779' first='Nick' last='Byrd'] | 6'2” PG | Hopewell

Byrd is going to be very important for this Hopewell team as he's their floor general and will be tasked with most of the ball handling and creating for this talented roster he has. He seems up for the task as he made good decisions in transition, showed the ability to touch the paint off the bounce, he put pressure on the defense, set the tone on both ends and was able to score it efficiently when he needed to.

[player_tooltip player_id='2459359' first='Jisaiah' last='Bryant'] | 6'5” WF | Liberty Christian

Bryant is an up and coming prospect in the state who will continue to garner more and more attention from college coaches, as he already looks the part of a division one player and has game to go along with it as well. At 6'5” with a lot of strength he excels in his ability to get defenders on his hip and finish at the rim through contact, he made some shots on the perimeter and in the midrange area and he showed the ability to run the offense with the ball in his hands too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1963550' first='Ryan' last='Corallo'] | 6'1” WG | CG Woodson

Corallo is set to be a breakout player for this talented Woodson team who already has a lot of senior leadership and a couple of young bucket getters, himself included. At 6'1” the lefty showed his ability to knock down shots from deep when left open, he showed good footwork and a solid finishing package when he got downhill and with defenses focused on some of their other players he's able to get a lot of opportunities and make the defense pay.

[player_tooltip player_id='1767553' first='Trey' last='Fitch'] | 6'4” WG | Fairfax Christian

Fitch is one of the juniors that will be looked at for leadership for this two time defending state champion group as he is one of their most experienced players, and he looked like he's having no problems taking in that role. The 6'4” off guard was fantastic working off the bounce and getting to the rim where he finished well, he made shots from deep and on the move and he's a good athlete who disrupts and makes plays on the defensive end too.

[player_tooltip player_id='1370511' first='Frank' last='Siaca-Bey'] | 6'8” C | Fairfax Christian

Siaca-Bey is the other player that is going to be leaned upon heavily for this group after being a starter on last year's state championship team, and it's easy to see he's been putting in the work and has improved a lot over the past year. He's slimmed and toned up his body making him more mobile and athletic, he finished well around the rim, he rebounded well particularly on the offensive end and he continues to show improvement as a midrange shot maker as well.
