Durham is a 2028 prospect out of Booker T. Washington who has continued to put together strong performances during fall league. He has shown the ability to create offense and find ways to impact the game with the ball in his hands especially passing the ball precisely. His offensive versatility allows him to contribute in different situations while continuing to develop his overall game. Defensively, his activity on the ball and in passing lanes to generate steals has been a big strong factor in the team’s defense. Also on that end of the floor his effort gives him another avenue to impact the game outside of scoring. Durham’s continued production in fall league makes him a prospect to keep an eye on as he heads toward the high school season.

Durham is a smooth playmaker and scorer in isolation situations. He makes the right reads and is an aggressive and speedy perimeter defender. Jaylen recently has found his way onto radars of several schools at the collegiate level due to his momentum that has been continuing on from the grassroots summer. He gets downhill past defenders quickly and always makes sure that he is the one in control of the pace the game proceeds at. Jaylen recently has picked up offers from Paul Quinn, Florida Memorial, Dallas Eastfield, and Bethel. Look for him to take major strides leading the charge at Washington this year from the combo guard slot!

Jaylen Durham Jaylen Durham 6'1" | PG/SG Booker T. Washington | 2028 TX is a 2028 guard out of Booker T. Washington High School that had a great summer picking up two offers from Florida Memorial University and Paul Quinn College. At TABC, he averaged 14 points per game with a 24-point performance in the event. The scoring ability he possesses is very impactful to the offensive flow as he creates shots for himself on all three levels. Along with his shot creation, he creates shots for his teammates in different offensive situations. With his junior season approaching, he will be eager to carry his summer momentum into the fall.

Jaylen Durham Jaylen Durham 6'1" | PG/SG Booker T. Washington | 2028 TX is a 2028 guard out of Booker T. Washington High School that was a huge offensive spark against Yates High School. Offensively, Jaylen is a three-level scorer that can get to the basket and hit open perimeter shots off the catch and dribble. Due to his aggression on that end when driving to the basket, he draws plenty of fouls that give him chances at the line. Jaylen was a surprise coming into this matchup, and I will be keeping track of his progress.

Jaylen was the offensive focal point for his Praise God Elite 16u squad as they competed in the annual George McClelland Invitational (Est. 2004). There is alot to love about this squad when you understand the purpose behind how they were assembled. They were coached by legendary grassroots enthusiast Jim Hicks, professional sports voice Rick Godfrey, and pastor Mike Lindsey–Talk about Blessings on Blessings!

After watching Jaylen compete in two games versus stellar competition, there were several parts of his game that should be praised! Jaylen has an advanced feel for the game as a 2028 prospect. Offensively he can get to his spots and nail mid-range and 3 pointers off the dribble. Durham uses shot fakes and and body to body driving angles to draw fouls and earn trips to the FT line. Jaylen will be a player to follow as he continues to develop and puts more emphasis on his defensive approach to the game.
