SAN DIEGO — Aaron Burgin's annual Creme of the County (COTC) features class-by-class, San Diego-centric showcase style games with the best prospects in the area filling the gym. The COTC kicked off Saturday morning at St. Augustine high school with the 2028 Creme game. Below are the standout performers.

Brandon Rosales | Bonita Vista

The 5-foot-8 lefty has an intriguing combination of speed with the ball and the ability to start and stop on a dime. Rosales was able to keep defenders off balance with his quick change of direction and showed crafty finishing ability in the lane. The incoming freshman also knocked down mid-range jumpers going to his right hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763298' first='Columbus' last='Palmer'] | Francis Parker

Palmer was a downhill scoring threat with speed and physicality in his compact frame. The 5-foot-7 point guard pushed the pace in transition offense and stayed under control and on-balance while playing through contact. Palmer flashed his savvy finishing ability around the basket despite a lack of true size for the position.

Jaylon Davis | Sage Creek

Davis is a well-built and strong two-way guard whose frame and willingness to seek out contact allowed him to stay on balance through bumps and get into the lane where he finished through contact. Though he thrived in a physical setting, Davis also had the ball skills, shiftiness and speed to break down defenders in isolation.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763310' first='Josiah' last='Profit'] | Temecula Valley

Profit was one of the more versatile offensive players in this game. The 6-foot-2 combo guard has a little bit of everything in his offensive arsenal from off catch and off dribble threes to mid-range pull-ups and crafty drives and finishes at the rim. Profit will be a prospect to track at the Division 1 level moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763317' first='Lucky' last='Davis'] | Mission Bay

Davis is your prototypical modern combo guard who can choose when he scores and when he distributes. The 5-foot-10 incoming freshman has a smoothness to his off-bounce creativity but also changes speed and direction quickly which allows him to create space from defenders and earn a paint touch.

Micah Cunningham | JSerra

Cunningham's strength is in his ability to play both physically and with finesse at the guard position. At 5-feet-11 with a broad-shouldered frame, Cunningham can play bully ball against smaller guards but also has the skill to operate on the perimeter as a shot creator for himself and teammates.

[player_tooltip player_id='2763293' first='Troy' last='Tominna'] | Victory Christian

Tominna played with great effort and energy on both sides of the floor which earned him the "hustle" award in this game. The 6-foot-1 guard showed great creativity off the dribble when breaking down defenders in isolation to get to the rim where he absorbed and finishes through contact.
