Johnny Girma is a flashy, versatile scorer who breaks down defenders with tight, confident handles and creates his own shot from deep, midrange, or at the rim. His scoring ability is elite and what truly separates him. Beyond scoring, Johnny is a smart, creative playmaker with excellent court vision, delivering precise passes that keep defenses off balance and generate easy scoring opportunities.

Johnny approaches the game with fierce confidence and relentless competitiveness. He thrives under pressure and isn’t afraid to take big shots or make crucial plays. His mentality is focused and disciplined, always looking to improve and lead by example. Johnny’s flair and creativity come with a strong work ethic and team-first attitude, balancing his flashy style with maturity and poise. He

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I volunteer at my church and have earned awards for keeping a 3.8 GPA. I’m proud of my academics but stay focused on improving my basketball. Off the court, I build leadership by helping others and staying active in my community.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I’m a self-made leader who works every day to improve. I lead by being vocal and confident, pushing my teammates to stay focused. With little coaching, I’ve learned to adapt, stay disciplined, and lead by example, especially in tough moments.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I've played through injuries and fatigue for the better of the team.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want a college that pushes me to improve every day, with strong competition and great coaching. A place where I can grow as a player and leader.
