Sophomore ID Camp: PG/Combo New Names

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>One of my favorite parts of Prep Hoops camps is finding new talent!&nbsp; That was definitely the case at the Prep Hoops Illinois Sophomore ID Camp!&nbsp; Here we examine the new names that emerged at the Point Guard/Combo spot!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2468215' first='Kaygen' last='Basinger'] (NCOE)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Basinger is a smaller guard that plays with a ton of flair for the game.&nbsp; He hit deep threes in the 5 on 5 game we saw letting it fly with a ton of confidence.&nbsp; Plus shot maker that also is quick in the open floor getting fouled as he made several trips to the foul line from his speed.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2349619' first='Brady' last='Harris'] (Francis Parker)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Harris is a smaller guard that can really break down defenders off the bounce.&nbsp; Plays with creativity and flair.&nbsp; Also has range on his shot!</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532352' first='Terrion' last='Wallace'] (Sacred Heart Griffin)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wallace really popped to us in the 3 on 3 setting.&nbsp; This 5'9” lead guard is a slick ball handler that creates for himself and others.&nbsp; He can really pass setting up his teammates especially shooters for open looks.&nbsp; Wallace can shoot it draining multiple threes.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532328' first='Jayden' last='Tyce Bullock'] (Marist)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Bullock is a 6'0” guard from Marist that we got to see for the first time.&nbsp; Combo guard that scores in transition with his speed.&nbsp; Blur with the ball in his hands getting past defenders with his handles and hesitation.&nbsp; Can also knock in a three on occasion.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532338' first='Kendall' last='Davis'] (De La Salle)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Davis is a 5'10” point guard that put his name on the map with his quickness off the bounce and ability to make plays in the paint.&nbsp; Creative finisher in the lane.&nbsp; Solid three point shooter.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532354' first='Travis' last='Cole'] (OPRF)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Cole caught our attention in the 5 on 5 games with his straight line speed, mid-range jumper, and activity at the point of attack defensively.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2417805' first='Blake' last='Wells'] (Plainfield North)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Wells is a 6'0” point guard that has a fundamentally sound game.&nbsp; Solid all-around guard that can knock down jumpers and is good as a set up man.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2387985' first='Adonis' last='Pickett'] (Rockford Jefferson)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Pickett had a strong performance as the 5'11” Rockford Jefferson guard is a combo that can really score it.&nbsp; Pushed the pace in the open floor getting out in transition and to the rim.&nbsp; Loves scoop shots and finishing through defenders around the cup.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2532335' first='Kaelin' last='Antonio'] (Niles North)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Niles North has a ton of high level guards and here is another one coming up!&nbsp; The 5'11” guard is a broad shouldered scorer that can get to the paint for soft touch finishes along with getting to the foul line.&nbsp; Liked the aggressiveness that he brought to the table.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
