Expert Analysis
Robbie Hodin | Prep Hoops Scout
Alimadhi is an extremely intriguing prospect. The sophomore is already 6-foot-3 and long, but he has a plethora of skills that players his age/size don’t normally have. He has a really nice-looking release, which he can hit from the perimeter or in pull-up situations, and he uses his size and length well on the boards as a rebounder. Most impressive, though, is his ability to create shots in the mid range for himself—he has good elevation on his shot and moves very fluidly for his size. Alimadhi has a very bright future ahead and should only continue to rapidly improve.

Alimadhi is only a sophomore but is going to play a large role on what should be a really talented Lexington varsity team this year. The 6-foot-2 wing is awesome when facing up to the hoop in the triple-threat position, but he also moves well off the ball and shoots it well off of screens, which makes him a super versatile offensive player. For his size and age, he’s incredibly under control and showcases some really impressive balance and strength. An extra year, in addition to more reps against better players, would be really helpful for his college hopes. Alimadhi will almost certainly be contacted by local prep schools after this year, if he isn’t already.

Alimadhi is a really intriguing long term prospect who has a well-rounded offensive game and the size and strength to succeed athletically. He’s 6-foot-2 and long, and he does a great job facing up with his dribble and using in-and-out moves and crossovers to get to the rim. Once he gets into the paint, he has sound footwork and craft, which allows him to finish in a variety of ways. He can shoot it from three, too, although he could get a bit more consistent there. Alimadhi will be a sophomore at Lexington High School this coming season, and I bet he won’t be there for too long after that.
