Early Look: 2028 Players You'll Want to Know

It's never too early to start evaluating the future, and that's exactly what these players represent. Athletes are becoming more talented at an earlier age and showing that through accelerated ballhandling and shooting ability. Below you'll find a group of players that you'll want to keep on your radar starting now.    Isaiah is an absolute menace on the defensive side of the ball. You can tell he makes that a big focus in his development and that he spends significant time on it behind the scenes. He has some of the fastest hands I've seen recently and he's an expert at swiping the ball without creating contact and gaining extra possessions for his team. He's incredibly effective on the break with excellent court vision and a solid passing ability. He knows how to make good decisions quickly and he can take it all the way himself or find a teammate for an easy bucket when he attracts defenders. I love to watch elite defenders and I feel like Robinson is well on his way to being an extremely effective two-way player. If he's already this good, there's no telling how dominant he'll be once he's a senior. His potential is huge and the sky is the limit for him.     Jacob can absolutely fly and he knows how to handle the ball at an elite level and sink buckets consistently. He can drive and score in either direction and has a quick release to avoid block attempts and get himself high-percentage looks in the paint. He's not someone you want to tangle with in the key if you're trying to score - racking up blocks is one of his strong suits and he eats opposing shot attempts for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. He's solid on the glass on both ends of the floor and he impressively knows how to maneuver his body and alter his shots while in the air in order to get the highest-percentage shot available. Thompson is fantastic at using the backboard to his advantage and he's got a nice arc on his jumper, which is pretty to watch. Thompson has the ingredients to become an excellent two-way player that is consistently counted on and looked to for winning basketball plays.     Andrew has a keen ability to find his teammates at the ideal times when they have a wide open look at the basket. He's an excellent passer that makes his teammates better and is always looking to capitalize on the best opportunity for his squad, regardless of whether or not that involves him adding to his points total. He's a smart player that sees the floor at a high level and makes it look easy to those in the stands. He moves incredibly well without the ball and knows how to put himself in positions with clear looks at the hoop. Lucas is a solid shooter as well with great form and a solid arc on his shot to avoid taller defenders. He has a light touch at the basket, even if his body is moving incredibly fast, he knows how to put the necessary touch on his shots and floaters to ensure they're going in the majority of the time. Lucas has the potential to be an excellent two-way player and I can't wait to see him continue to develop this upcoming season.     Amar has a NICE shot from beyond the arc and he's a solid player in multiple areas. He's not hesitant to give up the rock if he sees a teammate with a better opportunity and he does it efficiently with an excellent passing ability. He's a hustler and you'll never see him give up on a play. You'll often see him in the paint battling for boards and getting second and third opportunities for his squad. He's lengthy for his age and he uses that to his advantage by regularly blocking and altering his opponents' shots on the defensive end. Badyal knows how to finish through contact and he doesn't shy away from the paint at all - seeming almost eager to take on whatever challenge presents itself in front of him. His hands and feet are consistently active throughout his games and that allows him to fill up a well-rounded stat sheet. I'm excited to see Badyal continue to develop and grow into what should be a complete, well-rounded guard that makes the right plays and ends up a winner because of it.     Noah is absolutely fearless on the drive - he throws himself into the paint and knows how to contort his body and his shot in order to get the best look at the rim. He's also incredibly talented at maintaining his focus and finishing through contact. He's got a high-arching shot with a soft touch that easily eludes the lengthiest of his defenders. Muhammad has a nice floater in the lane that he'll utilize regularly when given any sort of space. He's also skilled at creating space with his body through contact without getting called for fouls. Noah's a smart player and it shows in multiple ways throughout his games. He's got a solid passing ability and he consistently makes those around him better. I can't wait to see Muhammad continue to develop next season and keep fulfilling his potential of being an elite, winning player.
