Bergeron is a quick, tough, smart lead guard who brings a steady presence to the Benedictine backcourt. A reliable floor general with a good feel for the game, he does an excellent job directing the offense, controlling the tempo and making sound decisions with the basketball. He handles defensive pressure well, sees the floor and understands how to get his teammates involved while keeping the offense organized. Bergeron uses his quickness to navigate the defense, create opportunities off the dribble and get into the paint when openings present themselves. Although he is most effective as a facilitator, he is also a capable perimeter shot maker who can knock down open looks when defenders give him space.

Luke was everywhere. When Lamm dealt with foul trouble, Bergeron stepped right into the primary ball-handling role and didn’t blink. That says a lot about his confidence and feel for the game.

He’s lightning quick with the ball, crafty in tight spaces, and has a scorer’s mentality. Whether creating for himself or collapsing the defense to set up others, he made plays. Defensively, he was a pest — active hands, relentless pressure, and constant energy. He plays at 100 miles per hour and forces opposing guards to work every possession.

His motor and competitive edge were a major reason Benedictine came out on top.
