Philly HS Live S1: SEPA Weekend Standouts…Part III

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Below is Part III in our review of prospects from southeastern Pennsylvania (and beyond) who impressed during this weekend's action at Philly HS Live Session 1.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='1608319' first='KJ' last='Coles'] </strong><strong>– 6'1” / 2026 / Pocono Mt. West / PSA Cardinals / Combo Guard:</strong> Last week we predicted Coles would be a top performer at Philly HS Live Session 1, but even we did not see this type of performance coming. PMW jumped out to a 2-0 start on Friday as Coles averaged 25 ppg. on the strength of 11 made threes. His reputation as a lethal point shooter proceeds him, but his ability to score in the open court through contact is vastly underrated. Coles is a solid drive and kick guard too. He also showed toughness and grit this weekend, shaking off what looked like a nasty ankle turn on Friday vs. Overbrook to post tremendous runs at this event. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Jude “Danny” Haigh </strong><strong>– 6'6” / 2025 / Bishop Guilfoyle / [program_tooltip program_id='2428253' first='Team' last='Final Red'] EYBL / Shooting Guard: </strong>Occasionally I will seek an opportunity to scout a WPIAL prospect to determine if he is as good as his highlight reels. After watching Haigh at Philly HS Live, I can confirm this 6'6” scoring machine lives up to the clips I have watched online. Haigh possesses a unique ability to hit jump shots from anywhere on the floor and under any circumstances. With his textbook stroke and quick trigger Haigh can knock down threes, dribble pull-ups, runners off the glass, stop-n-pops, and any other type of jumper he can dream up. At 6'6” Haigh can shoot over most defenders and even double teams. Haigh has the athleticism and foot speed to contribute to Guilfoyle's transition game too. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Josh Jones-Pinilla </strong><strong>– 6'0” / 2026 / Collegium Charter / [program_tooltip program_id='2078697' first='Philly' last='Pride'] UAA / Point Guard: </strong>Flying under the radar in the Bicentennial Athletic League is this multi-skilled and tenacious lead guard. Jones-Pinilla is a talented point man with a scorer's mentality and just the right amount of distribution skills. In the half-court splashed threes and got into the paint off the dribble. Once he was in the lane, Jones-Pinilla scored at the rim or made creative passes to teammates in the dunker spot. He pushed the break to score and distribute as well. Jones-Pinilla is poised beyond his years, so he did a tremendous job of controlling the pace for his squad. &nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>Omar Warring – 6'4” / 2025 / Overbrook / League Bound Elite / Small Forward: </strong>Warring is a long and agile prospect with quick second jump. That trifecta makes Warring a tremendous rebounder at both ends of the court. At the offensive end he can turn those rebounds into second chance points. At the offensive end Warring can also catch the rock in close and then score over either shoulder. He flashed the ability to operate in pick-n-roll action too. Warring runs the floor well, so he is a secondary fast break threat. Defensively, Warring can is a solid weak side shot blocker. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
