Mercado is going to be one of the best players in the Reading area for the next few years. The talented guard can score from all three levels and does so with immense composure. He attacks the basket with physicality and has a variety of finishing moves. Perhaps his greatest attribute is his isolation play, as NeChar will go at your best defender one-on-one without hesitation. With his diverse skillset, Mercado has the potential to be the next great guard from Wilson.
