There were some players who showed how truly talented they are on the hardwood. In this Prep Hoops review of Space City, we will highlight players who set it off on the hardwood in H-town.
Leano Rolle ( RL9 UA Rise 2025) – Rolle may be a prospect looking to get one last look this summer. If he was preparing for the evaluation period, he got off to a good start in Houston. Rolle can shoot the ball comfortably from deep. He has excellent lift on his jumper and has the same follow-through. Rolle can rebound and lead the break. However, he is excellent as a finisher. Rolle was the most complete player in the gym and should get some interest during the live period.
Justin Jones ( Beast Elite 2025) – Jones was a human highlight reel during the weekend in Houston. He is probably the best finisher that I have seen this spring travel season. Jones is excellent at turning turnovers into instance offense. Whether he is on the break ahead of everyone or running the wing, he is guaranteed to finish above the rim. His defense and bounce make him a very attractive player during the evaluation period.
Jadyn Murray Jadyn Murray 6'8" Grand Oaks | 2025 TX (N.Houston Hustle 2025) – An active 6’8″ rim protector will always get some looks if coaches or scouts are in a gym. Murray is that player. He is very active around the paint and can cover the glass like no other. Murray can cover the floor rim-to-rim and catches the ball well enough to finish at the rim. His activity on the glass will have coaches taking a look at him.
Makai Allen (Utah Valley Prime 2026) – When it comes to manipulating the ball and getting the rock to players in positions to score, Allen was probably the best point guard at it. His work with the Utah Valley team was almost flawless during the weekend. Allen was excellent on the high pick-and-roll. He came off with the option to get his own shot, find a finisher at the rim, or find shooters all over the floor. Allen was excellent at passing and shot the ball well himself. His play showed his skill and intelligence all throughout the weekend.
Dwight Magee

(On Geaux 2025) – Magee was another guard who showed the ability to knock down the three. While Magee usually has the ball in his hands, he found himself off the ball a ton this weekend. Being off the ball played right into his wheel house as he showed he was in range as soon as he crossed half court. Magee routinely nailed the three and went on mini-runs on his own. His shooting ability was game changing for his team.

(Mighty Kings 2025) – The Mighty Kings guard played at a very high level during the weekend in Houston. Walls displayed three level scoring ability along with an innate skill to get to his dominant hand repeatedly. His ability to get to his left allowed him to score or find shooters almost at will. Walls also showed a quick first step, quick dribble moves, and an ability to stop on a dime and shoot. He was hard to stop all weekend.
Mason Williams Mason Williams 6'0" | SG Burleson Centennial | 2027 TX (Utah Valley Prime 2026) – Williams is a long and lengthy player who showed the ability to do multiple things on the floor. Williams was excellent on the roll during the high pick-and-roll. He either finished at the rim or set the guard up to score via a good screen. When he stepped out beyond the paint, he made outside shots with comfort and ease. Williams also blocked shots showing his offensive and defensive prowess.

(LA Broncos 2025) – Norbert consistently used his athleticism and ball handling skills to get to the rim. His ability to finish over his primary defender was very good to see. Norbert also shot the ball better from the perimeter this past weekend. When he did not have the ball in his hands, he looked more comfortable spotting up. Norbert’s attacking style can be attractive to coaches who see him during the evaluation period.
These prospects who have a ton of talent. They are all highly skilled and can put defenses in difficult situations because they all make high IQ decisions. The evaluation period should help these players get noticed by coaches from various places and hopefully find themselves a home on the next level.
