Carmelo is a quick and shifty guard that can create for others. He is a pure point and is a great addition to any team. He handles on ball pressure well and is able to get defenders off of him with a quick and simple move. He is able to play fast and push the pace or he can slow it down and run the offense in the half court. He is very impressive with his vison in a crowded lane and will throw the no look drop off. He will fit right in with Valley Vista’s style of play while also being a guard of the future.

Carmelo is a super shifty point guard with some big time upside. He is one of the shiftiest and quickest player’s I seen all weekend while only playing 15U. He is a constant down hill threat that will get to the rim and finish with finesse move around bigger defenders. He uses the glass to manipulate the ball for tough finishes and And 1’s. He is also a great offensive initiator running the offense with his high IQ allowing him to control the pace of the game.

Carmelo is a speedy guard that plays the game the right way. His ability to handle pressure with the ball while starting the offense is impressive for being a young guard. He is a pass first player that drives to create for others. Carmelo’s basketball IQ is what makes him effective and allows him to play at the varsity level. Defensively he puts pressure on the ball and has really good hands. He has loads of potential to be a really good lead guard in his upper classman years.
