Around the Circuits: 2029 Scorers

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The weekend of April 24-26th I attended the <strong>Adidas 3SSB Session-1</strong> at Ladera, California and watched two other circuits online with the <strong>New Balance</strong> and <strong>Under Armour Association</strong> Circuits.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Here were some of the 2029 Scorers that I viewed</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2854671' first='Jonathan' last='Ortiz'] <strong>Deer Valley ([program_tooltip program_id='2076648' first='Peak' last='Basketball'] 15 UA Rise)</strong> <strong>(Pictured)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A highly skilled scoring lead guard can make some plays for his teammates but also fill up the scoreboard. He will light it up with threes off the catch one by one with a compact stroke and volleyball line range. He hit maybe 4 triples just in the first half alone. He will also burst to the basket and use advanced body control to score in the paint. He has a tighter handle in small spaces and he is tough on the ball defensively. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2825980' first='Brexton' last='Quinet'] Deer Valley ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 16 UAA)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A cerebral point guard who can direct some offense and score it. He shoots it really easily from the three point line off the catch but is also elusive to the basket and will score with plus body control with either hand. He will drive and kick and find a shooter or cutter for a layup. He can take the ball off the glass and step into a three on the other end. He made some clutch threes during the weekend.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3314876' first='Alex' last='Hunter'] Liberty ([program_tooltip program_id='2076421' first='Factory' last='AZ'] 15)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring point guard with a very tight handle and a lot of skill. He makes tough contested mid-range pull-ups off the dribble and will hit the three off the catch with a quick trigger. He can create the necessary separation and get his shot off.&nbsp;He may be a big part of their varsity team this season. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2433288' first='Carmelo' last='Tillman'] Valley Vista ([program_tooltip program_id='2076421' first='Factory' last='AZ'] 15)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring lead guard can fill it up. He can shoot the three with a quicker trigger, hit shots from mid-range and he can make players around him better with live dribble passes. He can play off of the pick and roll action and find a cutter or burst to the rim. His elusiveness with the ball, passing and skill makes his game go.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='2894935' first='Kendell' last='Stapleton'] Chandler ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 15 UAA)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The top real point guard of the team is Stapleton. He guides the team and handles the heavy ball pressure and makes plays. He will spray the ball around to his teammates often with drive and kicks with pinpoint passes. He scores with threes off the catch and bursts in the lane. &nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3457393' first='Benji' last='Tanner II'] Millennium ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] 15 UAA)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A big combo guard who is a good rebounder for a guard. He is one of the better shooters from the three with deep range. He loves the corners and smartly moves off the ball and lets it fly quickly. He plays the passing lanes which lead to steals and layups.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3640757' first='Ren' last='Tomzuka'] Salpointe Catholic (Tucson Spartans 15 UA Rise)&nbsp;</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A scoring combo guard is the team's specialist who loves the corners and will fire away from the three point line. He is very smart and seems to always be in the correct spot on defense to play the passing lanes and collect steals. He will rip thru and then find a teammate in stride and takes contact well. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='2734358' first='Cruz' last='Kazmierski'] <strong>Basha ([program_tooltip program_id='2075793' first='Arizona' last='Select'] UAA 15)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A bigger guard can play a few positions for the 15U team. He uses his size to rebound well and will collect steals. He scores it easily with threes off the catch and mid-range pull-ups plus can get to the basket and score with offensive rebound put backs. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id='3314781' first='Kalil' last='Deloatch'] Liberty ([program_tooltip program_id='2076421' first='Factory' last='AZ'] 15)</strong></p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>A big post player who has good hands and feet. He is a top notch rebounder in his area and he is surprisingly a very good passer. Once he gets doubled teamed, he finds open teammates. Once he gets position, the lefty can score it deep in the paint around heavy traffic with his long arms and size. He also catches some tough passes in traffic and goes up quickly to score.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph -->
