Prep Hoops Next is back with some more 14U standouts from #NEXTWarForTheNorth in Minnesota last weekend. We have nine more names that stood out or possessed some physical or skill quality. Prospects with upside included.

Matthew Zamora | 204 Elite

A lot of eyes were on some of Zamora's teammates, but he can play some ball. Can fill it up with his jumper and can play fast and is skillful with the ball. Got to his middle-game, three-ball, and worked in transition. Could score in bunches and streaks.

[player_tooltip player_id='2386231' first='Isaac' last='Speer'] | Minnesota Lightning

Speer stood out with his length. I thought he moved well as well. Showed good effort and energy, attacking the ball and the boards. Showed some good rebounding and athletic range.

[player_tooltip player_id='2349627' first='Braxton' last='Azure'] | Earnest Academy

Braxton came off the bench, but don't let that fool you as to how impactful and skilled he is at his size. He's listed at 6'1” and can stroke it and shows some power inside. A good lateral mover.

[player_tooltip player_id='2386766' first='Chase' last='Peltier'] | Earnest Academy

Peltier was maybe the second best ball-handler behind Capacia of 204 Elite. An elite handle on the ball. Defensively, got up and pressured and challenged the ball-handler in a big way. He competed and is skilled.

Gabriel Kallon | 204 Elite

Kallon looks young and looks like he could blow up in height and length, just by looking at his lengthy arms. Incrediblely long arms and overall a lanky build. Can shoot the rock when given the opportunity. He took open shots and he was effective in knocking them down.

William Arnold | [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury']

Arnold showed good length as a six-foot wing that can run and finish in transition. Not a natural ball-handler but he can slash to the hoop with the ball in possession. Lengthy and runs the floor. Check those boxes.

[player_tooltip player_id='2382071' first='Jonathan' last='Ecker'] | MN Hoop Troop

Ecker is an energetic guard that plays fairly fast. Can handle the ball and does a lot of his damage from three. Has some shake to him offensively, when he initiates the defender to create space in multiple fashions.

Wylder Burch | Wisconsin 26ers

#23 Wylder Burch

Wylder makes the list because of his upside and length as a 6'1” guard/wing. He wasn't a go-to guy for his team, but I thought he brought great effort and could move and jump well. He could hit an open three and had a smooth and accurate jumper. Could be a kid with massive upside if he continues to grow and steadily improve his game and skills.

[player_tooltip player_id='2386768' first='Gavin' last='Vollmer'] | Earnest Academy

Vollmer plays with a ton of grit and physicality. A well-built wing/forward that clearly played extremely hard and wasn't afraid of contact. He went at the D off the drive, and created a ton of contact. Holds his ground all over the court and competes for the ball.
