If there was a save the best for last prospect award tonight it would go to Christianson. Brings a strong frame, active presence, and an outwork mentality to the game. Solid on a lot of fronts. Matured size for age with plus hands and feet that competes vs more size. Consistently got after it on both ends in early evening game Saturday. Defensively used solid wall-ups and continuously battled for rebounds while enduring physicality. Positioning was great. Kept the ball high on rebounds and set strong screens. On the offensive end was versatile with touch around the basket off crab dribbles or drop step finishes. Made a great slip read on a blob play. Layers of effort with a grind it out mentality to make winning plays.

Matthew Christensen provided a strong two-way presence for the Milwaukee Basketball Club. In the paint, he anchored the defense with physicality and communication, while also attacking the glass with purpose. His ball-handling ability stood out for a player with his frame, allowing him to push in transition and absorb contact. In the half court, Christensen stretched the floor with a soft shooting touch, pulling opposing bigs away from the rim and creating space. Opponents had to adjust given his versatility.

Christianson is broadly built for his size and used it to his advantage. He controlled the boards and used his strength to rip the ball away. Christianson was consistent in finishing shots near the rim and midrange. He also showed flashes of three-point shooting. He read the court well, firing passes from the backcourt into the frontcourt for teammates who quickly exploited defensive gaps.

Christianson stood out right away with his great length at the wing spot. You can catch this 6’2 wing running along with Team Herro for summer ball. At camp he was a standout due to his versatility on the floor. He was a threat to get almost every rebound that came off of the rim on both ends of the floor. He showed some tight ball handling skills even as one of the bigger players in camp. Christianson had a great showing mostly to do with his ability to do a little bit of everything well.
