Maddox Shearer Maddox Shearer Maddox Shearer 6'0" | SG Russell County | 2026 State KY ranks among the state’s top players in three-pointers per game at 2.8, shooting 39% from deep with 62 makes on 159 attempts. Shearer is a high-level perimeter threat, and his playmaking ability only amplifies his impact, forcing defenses to account for him at all times. He can heat up quickly and has delivered several strong individual performances this season, including a 28-point outing against Southwestern in January where he went 4-for-8 from beyond the arc.

Shearer definitely caught my eye on Friday night at the Grit Region Finals. He showed up ready to play and ready to battle physically. Shearer displayed an impressive combination of power and finesse. He had an impressive swooping drive across the lane that showed his handles, then followed it by walling up on defense and getting a post stop.

No All-Tournament would be complete within giving some love to Kentucky Future Elite 2026’s perfect 4-0 weekend. Shearer’s stat line was incredible finishing the weekend averaging 20 points and 3.5 assists while knocking in a total of 16 three-point shots. He is a true all-around playmaker that can obviously really shoot the basketball as well. Excellent showing for the Russell County High School guard.
