It looked like Stanelle had a point to prove on Sunday by coming out focused and determined to make a statement in the 5 on 5 action. Going right at other top guards in attendance, Stanelle used crafty finishes in the paint to score efficiently. Able to get places off the dribble, Stanelle is quick changing directions and was flying around defensively. Overall, Stanelle was one of the top performers I saw all day.

Ky Future Elite got quality production out of their guards as Stanelle and Travanti Cooper (who had a monster putback dunk in the game I caught) were both making plays for their team. Stanelle did a nice job of getting to the rim by attacking closeouts or getting downhill off PNR actions. Stanelle also took what should’ve been a charge defensively and helped push the tempo for his team after steals and defensive rebounds.

Stanelle drew my attention on Friday night. He was one of those players where whatever his stats were, they don’t tell the full story. He was just a good old fashioned playmaker that found ways to influence the game. Stanelle passed the eye test that’s for sure. He was slick and tough to stay in front of with his bounciness and ability to change direction when attacking the rim.

Stanelle flashed three level scoring capabilities against GP Premier. Hit a pair of 3-pointers in the first half and then hit a step-back jumper from outside in the second half. When he couldn’t find good shots, his playmaking and defense stepped up as he forced several turnovers.

Stanelle got hot from three-point range for a stretch connecting on a trio of triples as he would go on to lead Kentucky Future Elite 2026 in scoring with 16 points in their dominant win against All Area Basketball Club Rhodes. The 5’10” Russell County High School guard can really play.
